What are the top 10 services at an auto mechanic repair and maintenance business?

Please review all our services on the service page!

  1. Oil Changes - Oil is a clear fluid found in engines that helps the engine run by storing fuel. Oil can get contaminated with dirt, debris, and other particles that could cause engine problems. An oil change is often needed to keep your vehicle running smoothly.
  2. Regular Maintenance - Regular maintenance is required to keep your car running optimally and to prevent major problems such as breakdowns, engine failures, and expensive repairs. Regular maintenance includes cleaning the car's internal parts, repairing any damages, checking the tire pressure, and oils, and changing the windshield wipers when required.
  3. Replacing the air filter - The air filter is a small filter that sits between your engine and the atmosphere. Dirt, dust, and other small particles can get into the air filter and clog it up, preventing your engine from drawing necessary air into the engine. When your air filter is clogged, it can cause problems such as poor performance, reduction in fuel efficiency, and a musty smell to your car.
  4. Transmission Service - Transmission service is the process of checking and      repairing transmission parts and systems on your car or truck. It is important to have a transmission service whenever your car is in high use, such as during a commute or a long trip. Regular transmission service helps prevent the transmission from skipping a beat or locking up, which can happen if you put too much pressure on the accelerator or the brake at the same time. Regular transmission service also provides peace of mind by checking to make sure your car’s transmission system is working properly.
  5. New Tire Installation - New tire installation is a very important process and should be done by a qualified technician. This is because improper installation can cause tire damage, poor steering response, and other issues. When installing new tires, a technician should: Ensure the proper inflation is done to the tires, Aeration is done to remove any air from the tire, and The bead is seated firmly are the tread is level with the surface.
  6. Battery replacement - Battery replacement is the process of replacing the      battery in your car. It is usually recommended that you have your battery replaced every 3 to 5 years, depending on how often you drive your car. What is the cost of battery replacement? The cost of battery replacement will depend on the make and model of your car, as well as the size of your battery.
  7. Engine tune-up - Engine tune-up is a regular maintenance procedure that aims      to improve the efficiency of your engine by cleaning it out, removing carbon build-up, and lubricating surfaces that may become dry. It’s important to keep your engine tidy so that it can function properly and efficiently. A regular tune-up will also help prevent corrosion and other issues that can cause performance issues down the road.
  8. Wheels aligned/balanced - It makes a huge difference in your vehicle's      performance. Wheel alignment is important for a few reasons: It improves the working condition of your tires - more grip. It positions your wheels correctly - more traction. It corrects tension issues - your tires are under stress, so it's important to relieve that tension. When your tires aren't under tension, they have more flexibility and grip. It tightens up your vehicle - as your tires work against the road, they stretch and contract. If your tire pressure is low, then your vehicle's alignment will be out, as the pressure in your tires is what provides the friction to power your car. With proper tire pressure, your alignment will be tight.
  9. Brakes and Brake Pads - Brake pads are discs that absorb energy from the      impact of braking. They are usually made of carbon or ceramic material, and are designed to last for a long time. When the pads wear out, it is time for a new set to be fitted. The first sign that new brake pads are needed is increased pedal effort. This is a sign that the brake system has reached its end of life and must be replaced. As soon as the brake pedal feels too weak to stop the car, it’s time for new brake pads.
  10. Radiators - A radiator is a heat-transfer device that conveys heat from a hot      engine to a colder external environment. It is a box or cylinder with airtight bottoms and large fins that radiates heat from its interior surface. The fins are there to trap heat and maintain a constant temperature within the engine. There are two main types of radiators: evaporator and condenser. A condenser radiator is like a small refrigerator in the engine bay. It works by allowing cold air in and heat out. A radiator's purpose is to transfer heat from one place to another.

10 Things you can do to Maintain Your Vehicle

Vehicle Maintenance Tips | Advice From The Pro's

If your car isn’t running as smoothly as it used to, you probably keep getting called in for mechanic visits. Fortunately, car maintenance is much easier than you think. You just need to know how to maintain your vehicle effectively between visits from the auto mechanic. These 10 simple tips will help you keep your vehicle running smoothly at all times and prevent future issues from cropping up again. It will help you be able to find minor issues prior to them becoming major and expensive repairs for your vehicle.

Wash Your Vehicle

If you wash your car every few weeks, you will prevent a lot of issues from developing in your vehicle. Wash your car with a hose using a gentle soap and water solution. This will remove any dirt, grime, and oil that builds on the exterior of your car. You should also wash your undercarriage too. A quick hose down of your engine, transmission, and exhaust will prevent a ton of issues from developing here. During winter, salt build up on your vehicle is common during winter months when the weather is cold. Your car’s body is made of metal, so when the temperature is below freezing, ice can form on the surface of your car. When this happens, the salt on your car is hardened, making it difficult for it to slide off. As the weather gets warmer, the ice on your car melts, causing your car’s body to absorb the excess salt. When this happens, the excess salt can get into crevices where it can form into hard clumps. Most importantly, when these clumps of hardened salt are left on your car’s surface, they can cause rusting. Rust is a very serious issue that can have serious repercussions on the longevity of your car. So, to prevent this from happening, make sure to wash your car regularly during winter. Doing so will remove the excess salt and prevent it from getting into crevices.

Check Your Tire Pressure

If your tires are below the recommended PSI, your car will be more prone to issues with the tire and wheel. Low tire pressure can cause your wheel bearings to wear out, causing a loud noise in the wheel area. It can also cause your wheel alignment to be off as well. It’s also important to check your tire pressure when you are installing new tires. Make sure that you are installing the correct PSI for each of your tires. Normal car tires are inflated to between 35 and 40 PSI, but this is not set in stone. Make sure that you follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for your car. Low PSI can cause a number of issues in your car, including poor gas mileage. It can also cause your car to pull to the right when turning. This is due to the low PSI in your right-side tires. You will be able to identify low tire pressure quickly by listening for a hissing or whistling sound coming from your wheels. It won’t sound right when you hear it.

Listen for Weird Noises

If you have been noticing noises in your car that you can’t quite pin down, listen for them when you are driving. This is a good way to tell if a specific noise is coming from your car, or if it is a common problem with your vehicle. A lot of times, you can pin down a sound and identify it as the issue. Other times, you may not know what it is, but you know it isn’t normal for your vehicle. By listening for the sound, you can better pinpoint its location and identify the problem. You can also listen to noises when you are parked in your garage or driveway. A lot of times, a problem with your car will become obvious when you are driving with it. Lowering the radio every once in a while and listening for issues is sometimes a simple way to check your car for potential issues.

Watch for Worn Out Spark Plugs

Worn spark plugs are a common problem that a lot of people ignore. When you have spark plugs that have been worn down, the result can be bad gas mileage or lack of power when you are driving your car. It can also cause misfires with your engine or a lack of compression in your engine. You can easily check your spark plugs. It’s a good habit to get into and will help you to identify potential issues with your vehicle before they become major issues.

Dirty Air Filters

Your air filters are supposed to keep air from getting into your engine and causing it to malfunction and break down over time. They are also supposed to clean the air that is going into your engine. The problem with a dirty air filter is that it will hamper your car’s fuel efficiency. A dirty filter will also cause a lot of engine issues, such as misfires or lack of power when you are driving your car. It’s important to change your air filter on a regular basis. How easy is it to change an air filter on your vehicle? Changing the air filter on your vehicle is as easy as unplugging it from the intake and replacing it with a new one. As long as you have the right tools, changing the air filter on your vehicle is a straightforward task that can be completed in a few minutes. Unscrew the air filter from the intake of your vehicle with a screw driver, then remove the old filter and replace it with a new one. Be sure to have the right air filter for your vehicle, as some may have a higher MERV rating than others.

Clean Your Car Battery Terminals

If you have been neglecting your car battery, it could be losing power and causing issues with your car. It is important to clean the battery terminals on your car battery on a regular basis. This will keep your battery looking new and prevent it from wearing out. You should also clean your battery terminals when you are installing a new battery in your car. A dirty battery terminal should be kept clean on a regular basis. Clean the battery terminal and battery post when you are installing your new car battery. You should also clean the battery terminal and post on your old battery on a regular if you have been storing your old car battery in your garage or basement. If you let your battery sit without cleaning the terminal and post, it will cause your battery to lose power.

Check Your Windshield Wipers

When you get in your car, occasionally do windshield wiper check. Make sure that the wiper blades are in good working order and clean the windshield regularly. If you don’t clean your windshield regularly, it will become caked with dirt and debris. This will make it harder for the wiper blades to properly clean your windshield. It will also hamper your visibility. It’s important to clean your windshield regularly. It will also prevent you from having to pay for costly windshield repairs or replacements in the future.

Check Your Fluid Levels

As you drive your vehicle, you should keep an eye on your fluid levels. Make sure that they are at the correct level so that your car doesn’t overheat. Overheating is a major cause of car issues and will cause your car to break down. You should also keep an eye on your transmission fluid, engine oil, and brake fluid. This will ensure that your car is maintained properly. You should also check your radiator fluid when you see that your car is getting close to its boiling point. This will prevent your car from overheating.

Examine Belts and Hoses

Another important maintenance tip is to examine your belts and hoses on a regular basis. Make sure that they aren’t damaged or worn out. This will prevent expensive repairs down the road. Make sure that all of your hoses are connected correctly and that they aren’t leaking. This will prevent your engine from overheating in the future. Look for signs of wear in the belt or hose, such as fraying, cracking, or detachment of the rubber material. Check the hoses, belts, and other components to see if they are leaking fluid. Check the tensioner and belts to make sure they are aligned and not stretched out. Inspect the belts and hoses for cuts, cracks, or other damage, and replace damaged items as needed

Check your spare tire

The last thing you want is to be stuck in the middle of nowhere without a spare tire. Easy to check, well worth the minute it takes.
